Careers — Mixing engineers

Mix the records.
Keep 60%.

Dracoharmonix pairs independent artists with engineers who actually work in their genre. We handle the clients, the billing, and the deadlines pipeline — you handle the faders, and you keep 60% of everything a client pays for your work.

Who we're looking for

Engineers with a lane, not a gear list.

Artists come to us to sound like the records they love, and we promise them an engineer who lives in that world. That's the whole model — so the only thing we screen hard for is whether your mixes hold up next to the releases in your genre.

You live in a genre

We match every record to an engineer who actually works in that lane — not a generalist reaching for a preset. If you have a sound you own, whether that's trap, indie rock, metal, or film post, we want to hear it.

You hit deadlines like they're sacred

Clients get their first mix within 48 hours of payment and every revision back within 24. That promise is the product. If your turnaround is "when inspiration strikes," this isn't the fit.

You talk like a human

Our clients send notes in plain language — "the vocal feels buried" — and expect answers the same way. You'll have a direct line to the artists whose records you mix.

You mix toward references

Every project comes with the record the client wants to stand next to. Your job is to nail that target — the weight, the space, the attitude — in your own room, on your own gear.

How you get paid

60% of every project. No salary, no cap.

This is a revenue share, not a fixed salary: you earn 60% of what the client pays for each project you mix, and Dracoharmonix keeps 40% for finding the client, running the platform, and handling billing and support. Client prices come from the same published formula you can see on our Pricing page — so you know your payout before you accept a project. A project that bills the client $100 pays you $60.

You work as an independent contractor: your room, your gear, your hours. Take as many or as few projects as you want.

What that looks like in practice

Real prices from the formula, and your 60% of each

  • ProjectClient paysYou earn

  • 5-category music mix$100$60
  • 8-category music mix$145$87
  • 5-minute video post$160$96

Custom-quoted projects (dense sessions, long-form video) follow the same 60/40 split on the quoted amount.
